Getting Ready to Activate Your New Lines

You're one step closer to fast and reliable nationwide 5G and 4G LTE coverage. Here are the steps you'll need to follow to ensure a quick and easy activation. 

If you need to reach out to your current wireless carrier, steps 1 and 2 can often be completed at the same time.

  • Step 1: Unlock your phone(s) if you are bringing your own 
    • Contact your current wireless carrier to confirm it is unlocked.
    • They must unlock your device for it to work on another network. Unlocking your phone from your current wireless carrier usually requires it to be fully paid off.
    • Note: Unlocking a phone can take several days to process. 
  • Step 2: Get information to transfer your wireless number(s)
    • You will need the following information to transfer your wireless number to Republic Wireless by DISH. Most of this information will be found on your current wireless bill.
      1. Account number
      2. Primary name on the account
      3. Address on the account
      4. Port-out PIN
        1. Your current wireless carrier will need to issue you a number transfer PIN or "port-out PIN." Check out our Bringing my current phone number over to Republic Wireless by DISH article for step-by-step instructions on how to request your PIN.
        2. Note: Your port-out PIN might expire within a few days of being issued.
  • Step 3: When your SIM kit arrives, you're ready for activation!
    • If you're a do-it-yourselfer, you can begin the activation process right away by heading over to our Activation Portal.

    • Important Note: Please do not cancel your current service until you complete the activation process with us.
