Phone Connected to WiFi but "No Calls or Messages, WiFi Data"

Symptoms

  • "No Calls or Messages, WiFi Data" while connected to WiFi
  • WiFi calls work on an alternate network

Environment

Resolution

Change the DNS settings from CenturyLink's default to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. If you are unfamiliar with these settings, please contact CenturyLink support to have them walk through how to make this change.
