How to Turn on or off Manufacturers' WiFi Calling

Objective

  • Turn off manufacturers' Wifi Calling to prevent issues with Republic Wireless WiFi calling.

Environment

Procedure

  1. Tap Settings from the app drawer
    • For Samsung Phones Running Android 10, tap Connections, then tap Wifi Calling 
  2. Tap Network & internet 
    • For Samsung Phones Running Android 8.1 and below, tap Connections
    • Motorola phones running Android 9 Pie, tap WiFi Calling
  3. Tap Mobile network 
  4. Tap Advanced
  5. Tap WiFi Calling
  6. Slide the toggle switch to turn WiFi Calling off or on

For Samsung Phones Running Android 9 Pie and Above:

  1. From a Home screen, tap the Phone icon Phone icon
  2. Tap the Menu icon Menu icon (upper-right)
  3. Tap Settings
  4. Tap the Wi-Fi Calling switch to turn WiFi Calling off or on
Motorola phones
Android 10+
  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap Apps & notifications
  3. Tap See all XX apps (where XX is the number of apps)
  4. Tap the three vertical dots in the upper right
  5. Tap Show system or Show system apps
  6. Scroll down and tap on Wi-Fi Calling
  7. Tap Disable
  8. Tap Disable app

  1. Tap Settings from the app drawer
  2. tap WiFi Calling
  3. Tap Mobile network 
  4. Tap Advanced
  5. Tap WiFi Calling
  6. Slide the toggle switch to turn WiFi Calling off or on
