Objective
- Turn off manufacturers' Wifi Calling to prevent issues with Republic Wireless WiFi calling.
Environment
Procedure
- Tap Settings from the app drawer
- For Samsung Phones Running Android 10, tap Connections, then tap Wifi Calling
- Tap Network & internet
- For Samsung Phones Running Android 8.1 and below, tap Connections
- Motorola phones running Android 9 Pie, tap WiFi Calling
- Tap Mobile network
- Tap Advanced
- Tap WiFi Calling
- Slide the toggle switch to turn WiFi Calling off or on
For Samsung Phones Running Android 9 Pie and Above:
- From a Home screen, tap the Phone icon
- Tap the Menu icon
(upper-right)
- Tap Settings
- Tap the Wi-Fi Calling switch to turn WiFi Calling off or on
Motorola phones
Android 10+
- Open Settings
- Tap Apps & notifications
- Tap See all XX apps (where XX is the number of apps)
- Tap the three vertical dots in the upper right
- Tap Show system or Show system apps
- Scroll down and tap on Wi-Fi Calling
- Tap Disable
- Tap Disable app
Android 9
- Tap Settings from the app drawer
- tap WiFi Calling
- Tap Mobile network
- Tap Advanced
- Tap WiFi Calling
- Slide the toggle switch to turn WiFi Calling off or on
