Can't Transfer to Tello Exception Message "Subscription with Republic Wireless Is Preventing Transfer"

Symptoms

  • Unable to complete Transfer to Tello due to subscription error

Environment

  • Transferring a phone number from Republic Wireless to Tello

Resolution

  1. Order a GSM SIM Card 
  2. Cancel Number Transfer Order 
  3. Activate GSM SIM Card
  4. Resubmit the number transfer again

Cause

CDMA subscription on IMEI of the desired phone is still registered on the previous provider's end
