Learn how to activate an iPhone on Republic Wireless as a selected participant in our iPhone BETA and what next steps to take after activation. Before getting started, ensure your iPhone is compatible with Republic Wireless.

Activate Your iPhone

  1. Insert the SIM card
  2. Update your iPhone to the latest supported version of iOS
  3. Open the email you received from TestFlight
  4. Click View in TestFlight
  5. You'll be redirected to a page with instructions to download the TestFlight app
    • Note: Downloading the TestFlight app, requires you to sign into the App Store with an Apple ID. If you don't have an Apple ID you'll need to create one.
  6. After downloading TestFlight, open it
  7. In the top right corner, tap Redeem
  8. Enter the code from the page in step 4 and tap Redeem
  9. Tap OK
  10. The RW app will start downloading - once finished, tap Open
  11. Tap Next
  12. Tap Start Testing
  13. Sign in to your Republic Wireless Account
    • Note: If you're not an existing Republic Wireless member, create a new account by clicking the New to Republic Wireless? Create an account option
  14. Enter your phone's IMEI and your SIM Card ICCID
  15. Review the information on the screen and click the checkboxes to accept the terms and conditions if applicable
  16. Tap Submit Activation
  17. You'll see an activation screen informing you that activation is underway - tap Complete Setup
  18. Take note of the information displayed on the screen (also written below for convenience)
  19. Go to your phone's main settings
  20. Tap Cellular
  21. Tap Cellular Data Network
  22. Use the following information to update the fields on the screen

    APN: alpha
    Username: [Leave this blank]
    Password: [Leave this blank]

    APN: [Leave this blank]
    Username: [Leave this blank]
    Password: [Leave this blank]

    APN: wholesale
    Username: [Leave this blank]
    Password: [Leave this blank]
    MMSC: http://wholesale.mmsmvno.com/mms/wapenc
    MMS Proxy: [Leave this blank]
    MMS Max Message Size: 1048576
    MMS UA Prof URL: http://www.apple.com/mms/uaprof.rdf

  23. Restart your phone

Additional Notes

  • Failure to update the required settings fields, or including incorrect information in any of the fields, will cause issues with calling and texting
