What Does the SIM Card Do for 3.0 Phones?

3.0 SIM cards help provide 3.0 phones with access to WiFi service connection as well as all cellular access. SIM cards do not store the Republic Wireless phone number, contacts or other information except to connect to service.

Additional Notes

  • Within twenty days of a 3.0 GSM or CDMA SIM card being deactivated, it can still be reactivated
  • After a 3.0 SIM card is deactivated longer than twenty days, it will become permanently expired and will need to be replaced
  • The functions of a 3.0 SIM card are different than 2.0 SIM cards. Please see What Does the SIM Card Do on 1.0 and 2.0 Phones?
