Tax-exemption status cannot be added to a Community Only account. An order needs to be placed first and taxed. Afterwards, with the email address associated with the new account open a ticket, attaching the tax exempt letter. Ask to have a credit applied to your account for the value of the order's taxes. Once the account is approved for tax-exemption status, a credit for that amount will be applied.
