Because we are a hybrid phone service, Republic Wireless phone numbers are considered VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) numbers. Thus, Republic numbers are classified by the FCC as "wireline," a combination of wireless and landline, rather than mobile numbers. Because of this, some companies and apps are unable to use Republic Wireless numbers for verification when setting up an account or updating it.
