Symptoms

• Receiving the following error when attempting to sign up for BB&T shortcode updates: "Your message was not processed, xxx-xxx-xxxx has not been verified, please visit bbt.com to update your profile/ call 1-800-BANK-BBT (226-5228)"

Resolution

1. Verify that the number (xxx-xxx-xxxx) in the description above matches your Republic Wireless phone number. If not, please Open a New Help Ticket and provide a screenshot of the text.
2. Visit the bbt.com website or call 1-800-BANK-BBT to verify your phone number on your account
3. After verifying your number with BB&T, test your message again
4. If you receive the same error, please call BB&T Online Banking Services at the following number: 1-888-228-6654
