Newly Activated Phone Receiving "Tap to Try Again" Error Sending Texts

Symptoms

  • Texts won't send and come back with an error "Not sent. Tap to try again."
  • Incoming calls from Republic Wireless numbers do not go through to the phone
  • Off-network calls route through successfully

Environment

  • Newly activated phone

Resolution

Factory reset the phone as a new device with no apps installed

Additional Notes
