What Is the Difference Between an Owner and a User?

Environment

  • All Republic Wireless Members

Answer

Every account must have an owner but does not need to have users assigned. The owner has complete control over the account. Only the owner can:

  • Discuss account details with Republic Help
  • View account information
  • Make Purchases
  • Make changes to accounts
  • Change plans
  • Purchase one-time data
  • Assign users
  • Change phone numbers for both the owner and users
  • Activate new phones on the account

The owner cannot view a user's data usage.

The user cannot:

  • Discuss account details with Republic Help
  • View account details
  • Make changes to the account
  • Make purchases
  • Change Plans
  • Purchase one-time data
  • Activate new phones on the account
