How to Send a Photo Saved with Your Previous Phone in Android Messages

 

Objective

  • To send old photos synced with Google Photos that were taken with a previous phone

Environment

Procedure

  1. Open Android Messages
  2. Start a text message
  3. Tap the + Symbol next to the Text message field
  4. Tap the Photo icon (a white square with two small triangles resembling a mountain range) under the line of emojis
    • Note: Allow access to Media if the app requests it
  5. Tap Gallery
  6. Tap the three horizontal lines to the left of Recent
  7. Tap Photos, then Photos again on the next page
  8. Tap the picture you want to send
    • Note: Tap Add text if you wish to include any text with the picture message
  9. Tap the MMS Arrow to send the message

Additional Notes

If you need to transfer your photos from your old phone to the new one first, follow the steps below
