How to Confirm Basic Voicemail Settings

  • Confirm voicemail settings are set correctly

Environment

Procedure

Confirm you have the correct number for voicemail programmed into your phone

  1. Tap Phone
  2. Tap the 3 vertical dots in the top right corner
  3. Tap Settings
  4. Tap Calls
  5. Tap Voicemail
  6. Tap Setup
  7. Tap Voicemail number
  8. The Voicemail number depends on your phone and plan

Please also check the following setting:

  1. Tap Phone
  2. Tap the 3 vertical dots in the top right corner
  3. Tap Settings
  4. Under Other Call Settings, select Voicemail 
  5. Service should say Your Carrier or Voice Mail

Additional Notes

In order for your voicemail to work correctly, the voicemail number should be as listed under Voicemail Settings.  

The number listed for voicemail access is the number your phone dials to access the voicemail servers.
