Symptoms
- Fingerprint sensor was previously working and now it's not
- Fingerprint settings no longer listed under Security settings
Environment
- Moto G5 Plus
- Moto E4
- Moto Z Play
Resolution
- Reboot the phone
- Check to see if there is a software update available
- Check for app updates in the Play Store
- Test the in safe mode
- If the sensor works properly in safe mode, a 3rd party app is likely causing the issue
- Clear the cache
- Perform a Factory reset
