Cannot Access Cell Data Purchased During Overnight or Early Morning Hours

Symptoms

  • Cannot use cellular data after purchase

Environment

  • All Republic Wireless 3.0 phones
  • Data purchase between the hours of 12 am and 6 am EST
  • Data purchase between other time window of cellular partner maintenance

Resolution

  • Wait for the data purchase to complete after 6 am EST
    • Note: If you're experiencing this issue outside of the hours mentioned, please review our Status page and if there are no outages or maintenance occurring, please open a Help Ticket

Cause

  • Our cellular partners run nightly scheduled maintenance during off-peak hours. Data purchases, plan changes, and activation attempts started during maintenance will resume when maintenance is completed.
  • Failures outside of this time-frame can be due to various reasons

Additional Notes

In some instances, the time for a maintenance period may be extended
