Cannot Receive Phone Calls from a Correctional Facility

  • Facility does not recognize Republic Wireless as a cell phone provider

  • Republic Wireless phone

Republic Wireless phone numbers are VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) numbers, which are recognized by some organizations as landline numbers instead of cell phone numbers.

Some facilities' systems are not able to call VoIP numbers. The only workaround is to transfer the Republic Wireless number to a standard cell phone carrier which will be accepted by the facility.
