Consumer Cellular Invalid PIN Rejection

Symptoms

  • Consumer Cellular is rejecting the last 4 digits of social security number (SSN) as the PIN number after submitting the updated PIN number to your Republic Wireless port order

Environment

  • Porting a number to Republic Wireless from Consumer Cellular

Resolution

Contact Consumer Cellular

Cause

The last 4-digits of the SSN does not match Consumer Cellular records

Additional Notes

Consumer Cellular requires that you submit the last 4-digits of your SSN as the PIN. If an invalid PIN is entered this will often result in an "All Data Mismatch" rejection. See Consumer Cellular's article; Porting your Number from Consumer Cellular
