Objective
- To back up Republic voicemail messages to an app or account
Environment
- All Republic Wireless phones running app version 3.19 or higher
- Apps that allow uploads or attachments
Procedure
From Google Drive
- Open the Drive app
- Tap the plus icon in the bottom right
- Tap Upload
- Tap the three horizontal lines in the upper left next to Recent
- Tap Republic
- Tap Voicemails
- Tap the voicemail(s) you'd like to save
- Note: You may need to ALLOW Drive to access photos, media, and files on your device
From Gmail:
- Open the Gmail app
- Tap the pencil icon in the bottom right to compose a new message
- Note: You may need to CLOSE Google notification for opt in/out in regards to sharing anonymized snippets
- Tap the paper clip icon to attach a file
- Tap Attach file
- Tap the three horizontal lines in the upper left next to Recent
- Tap Republic
- Tap Voicemails
- Tap the voicemail(s) you'd like to save
- Finish composing your email and Send
Additional Notes
You can save voicemail files using any type of app that allows attachments or uploads. The examples above are the most common apps among our members.
