Republic Anywhere App Not Working on Android Oreo

Symptoms

  • Blank screen loads on start up of Republic Anywhere and then closes 

Environment

  • Samsung Galaxy Note 8
  • Android Oreo 8 that just upgraded from Android Nougat 7

Resolution

  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap Apps & notifications
  3. Tap Anywhere
  4. Tap FORCE STOP
  5. Tap Storage
  6. Tap CLEAR DATA
  7. Tap CLEAR CACHE
  8. Tap the Back arrow
  9. Tap UNINSTALL
  10. Power your phone off and then back on
  11. Open the Google Play Store
  12. Search and find Republic Anywhere
  13. Tap Install

Cause

After updating to a new operating system, some phone functions may not work properly and need to be reset.
