My Voice Sounds Quiet or Faint During Calls

Symptoms

  • People can't hear me clearly during calls
  • People say my voice is quiet or faint

Environment

  • Republic Wireless phones

Resolution

  1. Refresh the Republic Wireless Activation
  2. Reset the cellular connection
    • If the phone is CDMA 
      1. For 1.0/2.0 phones & Samsung 3.0 phones on CDMA
        1. Connect your phone to WiFi
        2. Dial # # 72786 #
        3. Tap YES
      2. For other 3.0 CDMA phones
        1. Connect phone to WiFi
        2. Dial * # * # 72786 # * # *
        3. Tap OK
          • Note: While the screen displays "Reset Device," this step will not perform a factory reset or clear phone data, only a reset of the cellular configuration
    • If the phone is GSM
      1. How to Reset Network Settings

 If the issue is on WiFi:

  • Try restarting the modem and router
