Data Available but Cannot Access It

Symptoms

  • Data is available but can't access it
  • Can call and text on cell
  • Key icon may be visible in top right of notification bar

Environment

  • Republic Wireless 3.0 phones
  • My Choice (4.0) plans
  • Republic App version 3.17.1.1 and higher

Resolution

  1. Open the Republic Wireless app
  2. Tap Data Tools
  3. Make sure Data Freeze is toggled off
  4. Ensure Data Saver is off
  5. Power phone off and back on

Cause

Data freeze or Data saver has been enabled

Data freeze will block all cell data except for white-listed data
