Google Pinyin Input (IME) Keeps Asking for Google Account Permission

 

Symptoms

  • Google Pinyin Input keeps requesting permission to access Google account

Environment

  • Republic Wireless 3.0 phones

Resolution

  1. Open Google Play Store App
  2. Find the search bar
  3. Type in Google Pinyin Input
  4. Tap Uninstall

Additional Notes

The Google Pinyin Input is an input method (IME) optimized for typing Chinese on Android
