How to Reset Network Settings for Motorola and Google Phones on Android 8.1 Oreo and Above

  1. Open the app drawer
  2. Open Settings
  3. Tap System
  4. Tap Advanced
  5. Tap Reset Options
  6. Tap Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth
  7. Tap Reset Settings
  8. Enter the PIN, password, or draw a pattern lock (if prompted)

After resetting network settings, ensure that the Roaming setting is ON

  • Open Settings
  • Tap Network & Internet     Note: On the Moto G5 Plus follow the steps here
  • Ensure the Roaming setting is ON

Doing this will remove all network settings, including saved WiFi networks and Bluetooth connections.

After the reset has finished, the cell triangle in the top right corner of the screen will appear empty until your phone has restored the cellular credentials from our network partner.
