Why Does a GSM SIM Card Expire 20 Days After Deactivation?

Environment

  • Deactivated Republic Wireless 3.0 phone with a GSM SIM card
  • "Invalid SIM" error message in Republic app

Answer

Due to partner network limitations, GSM SIM cards expire after being deactivated for more than 20 days .

Additional Notes

If your previously-activated GSM SIM card has been deactivated more than 20 days, you will need a new SIM card. GSM SIM cards can be obtained through the online store or requested by opening a Help Ticket
