Objective
- Activate a phone to keep an existing phone number
Environment
- All Republic Wireless phones except the Motorola DEFY XT
- Republic Wireless app
Procedure
- Turn off your phone
- Insert the Republic Wireless SIM card
- Turn the phone back on
- Connect to WiFi
- Open the Republic Wireless app
- Tap Get Activated Now
- Enter your existing Republic Wireless account credentials
- Note: On 1.0 and 2.0 phones, first tap I Have an Existing Account
- Choose to move the desired number to the new phone
- Continue to follow on-screen prompts for activation and power the phone off when prompted
- Note: The prompts may include entering billing address and credit card information
Additional Notes
- Failure to sign-in to an existing Republic Wireless account will result in a new account being created and no option to move an existing number to the phone
- Activating the phone will cause the previous phone to be deactivated automatically
