How to Move Your Number from One Account to Another

 Objective

  • To move a phone number from one account onto an active phone on another account

Environment

Procedure

  1. Have the account owner of the phone number to be moved open a help ticket and give permission to move (XXX) XXX-XXXX
  2. Have the account owner of the account that the number is being transferred to open a help ticket and give permission to have (XXX) XXX-XXXX replace (XXX) XXX-XXXX
  3. The account owner that opens the second help ticket needs to provide the first help ticket number (this is required)
  4. Once the transfer has completed, deactivate the original phone; How to Deactivate Your Phone

Additional Notes

FCC regulations require that we get permission from both account owners before the number can be moved

Process can take up to two business days after receiving the second permission
