Environment

  • Porting a number to a new carrier
  • Rejected by Republic Wireless

Resolution

  1. Ask your new carrier to cancel the original port request
  2. Resubmit port-out with a due date no sooner than 3 days out

Cause

Our internal system will auto-reject requests that do not allow us enough time to process your number transfer properly

Additional Notes

  • Being a Voice Over Internet (VoIP) service there are multiple steps in transferring a number
  • Republic Wireless has limited views into your port-out request so it is important to work closely with your new carrier in transferring your number
