Environment
- Republic Wireless 3.0 phones
- Republic Wireless app version 3.15.1.3 and higher
Answer
You can determine that your call is over WiFi or the cellular network by looking at the information on the active call:
- If "Republic Network" shows, then the call is occurring on a WiFi network
- If you see "Cellular Network," then your call is occurring on the cellular network.
Additional Notes
You can also find this information out by looking at the Republic Wireless notification or the bottom of the Republic Wireless app's main page. It should state "Connected to WiFi" when you're using WiFi for calls, texts, and data.
If you see "Connected to cell," then you're using the cellular network for calls, texts, and data. If you see "Connected to Republic Secure," then this indicates that calls and texts are occurring over the cellular network while using WiFi for data.
