What "Does Outstanding Financial Obligation" Mean?

  • BYOP Phones activating with our CDMA partner

"Outstanding Financial Obligation" means that a phone is flagged with another carrier for an unpaid balance with regards to financing.  This usually occurs if the phone was purchased using financing which hasn't been paid in full, but could also be due to other reasons. This is independent of the phone being "new" or "used."

Additional Notes

If Republic Help notifies you that we're unable to activate your phone with our CDMA partner, we recommend that you contact the seller of the phone to clarify.  They may need to work with the carrier that has placed the flag on the phone.
