How to Save Google Maps Offline


  • To save an area in Google Maps for offline use



  1. With the phone on Wi-Fi, open the Google Maps app
  2. Tap the account settings (circle) icon at the top right corner of the screen
  3. Tap Offline maps
  4. Tap Select your own map
  5. Pinch to zoom in order to adjust the target area to your preference
  6. Tap Download

Additional Notes

This step can help decrease your cellular data usage, and allows you to use the GPS in areas where you don't have cell data coverage.
