How to Forget and Reconnect to a WiFi Network on Alcatel, Motorola, Nexus 6P and Samsung Phone

  • To forget and reconnect to a WiFi network

  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap WiFi or Network & Internet (if phone is Motorola/Google) or Connections (if phone is Samsung)
    • Note: If tapping "Network & Internet" or "Connections" will need to tap WiFi before moving to next step
  3. Tap on the WiFi network's name
    • Note: If you're on the Pie Operating System, you will need to tap the Gear icon next to the WiFi network's name
  4. Tap Forget
  5. Tap on the WiFi network once more
  6. If required, accept any terms and conditions or input the network's password

Additional Notes

This is a good step to perform if a WiFi network isn't working correctly or shows "Connected to WiFi. No internet." when connected to a public WiFi network. This refreshes the WiFi connection on the phone.
