Objective
- To forget and reconnect to a WiFi network
Environment
- Motorola phones
- Samsung Galaxy Series phones
- Alcatel A30
- Nexus 6P
Procedure
- Open Settings
- Tap WiFi or Network & Internet (if phone is Motorola/Google) or Connections (if phone is Samsung)
- Note: If tapping "Network & Internet" or "Connections" will need to tap WiFi before moving to next step
- Tap on the WiFi network's name
- Note: If you're on the Pie Operating System, you will need to tap the Gear icon next to the WiFi network's name
- Tap Forget
- Tap on the WiFi network once more
- If required, accept any terms and conditions or input the network's password
Additional Notes
This is a good step to perform if a WiFi network isn't working correctly or shows "Connected to WiFi. No internet." when connected to a public WiFi network. This refreshes the WiFi connection on the phone.
