Newly Activated Moto E2 Not Connecting to Cell Service

Symptoms

  • Phone isn't connecting to cell service
  • Can't send or receive texts through cell service
  • Phone only works on WiFi

Environment

  • Moto E2
  • Cellular network
  • Recently activated phone

Resolution

  1. Turn the phone off
  2. Remove the SIM card
  3. Re-insert the SIM card
  4. Turn the phone on
