How to Disable Handover to Prevent a Call from Switching from WiFi to Cellular on Specific Networks

Objective

  • To disable automatic handover from WiFi to Cellular for calling on specific networks

Environment

Procedure

  1. Open the Republic Wireless app
  2. Tap the gear-shaped icon in the top right corner of the screen 
  3. Tap Advanced settings
  4. Tap Enable handover on networks
  5. To prevent calls from handing over to cell while you're on the WiFi network, un-check the box next to the network name
    • Note: To re-enable handover, check the box next to the network name
  6. Tap OK

Additional Notes

To ensure that all calls handover to WiFi from cellular, place a check-mark in the Handover to WiFi when appropriate checkbox
