Symptoms
- SIM card is not recognized during activation
Environment
- All Republic Wireless phones except the Motorola DEFY XT, Moto E1, and Moto G1
- SIM card
Resolution
- Remove then reinsert your SIM card
- Note: For steps on inserting and removing the SIM card, please see Installing Your SIM Card
- Try the activation again to see if the SIM card is recognized after reinserting
- If the issue persists, provide information about your SIM Card and the physical address where the screenshot was taken in a Help Ticket
- Note: Please include the number written on the SIM card
Additional Notes
There may be an issue with the SIM card reader in the phone or the SIM card may be defective, but reaching out to Republic Help will shed more light on the specific resolution as there could be other causes.
