Depending on where you purchase your Republic Wireless phone will determine which type of guarantee you qualify for and your refund eligibility—you may qualify for one guarantee or both. There are two different types of guarantees: 

  1. Phone Guarantee - This guarantee is available for up to 14 days after the phone has been delivered, depending on where you purchased your phone.

  2. Service Guarantee - This guarantee is available for monthly service up to the first 14 days after your phone has been activated. 

Review the information below to determine which guarantee(s) you qualify for: 

I purchased a new phone from RepublicWireless.com 

  • New Line of Service
    If you're a new member or an existing member adding a new line of service, and you purchased your phone from RepublicWireless.com, you're eligible for both a phone and monthly plan charge refund within 14 days of the original delivery date (the time our shipping provider states your package arrived) for your phone, and activation date for your service—unless otherwise specified on our web site or in the case of a special promotion.

  • Existing Line of Service
    If you're an existing member that's upgrading or moving your service to a new phone, and you purchased your phone from RepublicWireless.com, you're eligible for a phone refund within 14 days of the original delivery date (the time our shipping provider states your package arrived)—unless otherwise specified on our web site or in the case of a special promotion. 

Please ensure you're still within the 14 day period before you initiate a return and request for refund. Please see our Terms of Service for more details regarding this policy.  

I purchased a certified pre-owned phone from RepublicWireless.com 

  • New Line of Service

If you're a new member or an existing member adding a new line of service, and you purchased your certified pre-owned phone from RepublicWireless.com, you're eligible for both a phone and monthly plan charge refund within 14 days of the original delivery date (the time our shipping provider states your package arrived) for your phone, and activation date for your service—unless otherwise specified on our web site or in the case of a special promotion. 

  • Existing Line of Service

If you're an existing member that's upgrading or moving your service to a new phone, and you purchased your phone from RepublicWireless.com, you're eligible for a refund of your phone within 14 days of the original delivery date (the time our shipping provider states your package arrived)—unless otherwise specified on our web site or in the case of a special promotion. 

Warrantable Replacements: All certified pre-owned phones purchased from RepublicWireless.com are covered under warranty within 14 days of the original delivery date (the time our shipping provider states your package arrived)–unless otherwise specified on our web site or in the case of a special promotion.  Certified pre-owned replacements are dependent on the state of the phone as sent back to Republic. Replacements for certified pre-owned phones will only be eligible for damages not caused by the member under warranty. Certified pre-owned phones are not eligible for a manufacturer's warranty.

Please ensure you're still within the 14 day period for your phone for new and existing lines of service and your 14 day period for new lines of service (for monthly plan charge refunds) before you initiate your return and a request for a refund or replacement. Please see our Terms of Service for more details regarding this policy. 

I purchased my phone from a third party (i.e. a friend, eBay, different manufacturer, etc...) 

  • New or Existing Line of Service

Whether you're a new member or an existing member adding a new line of service, if you purchased your phone from a third party you're eligible for a monthly plan charge refund within 14 days of activating your phone. 

Accessories/Other Products 

Accessories purchased through RepublicWireless.com are eligible for a refund within 14 days of purchase and must be unopened and undamaged. 

Google Wifi purchased through RepublicWireless.com is eligible for a refund within 14 days of purchase and must be undamaged to be eligible for a full refund.

Phones 

I purchased a new or certified pre-owned phone from RepublicWireless.com 

If you're unsatisfied with Republic, you can start the return process by clicking here and letting us know the bad news. We ask that you wait to send your phone back until we've provided you with a return shipping label via email. Don't worry—you just need to contact us within the 14 days in order to be eligible for the money back guarantee. 

Your phone must be returned with all its original components and in working order. It will be inspected thoroughly before a refund is issued. Make sure you copy or move any photos (especially compromising ones ...) and any other personal info off the phone before you return it. 

I purchased my phone from a third party (i.e. a friend, eBay, different manufacturer, etc...) 

Phones purchased from third parties are unfortunately not eligible for a refund through Republic. Please check with the place where you purchased your phone for their return policies. 

Service 

I purchased a new or certified pre-owned phone from RepublicWireless.com 

If you're a new member or an existing member adding a new line of service, you're eligible to receive a monthly plan charge refund within 14 days of activating your phone—unless otherwise specified on our web site or in the case of a special promotion. Follow the steps in the Cancel My Republic Service to cancel your service line. 

I purchased my phone from a third party (i.e. a friend, eBay, different manufacturer, etc...) 

If you're a new member or an existing member adding a new line of service, you're eligible to receive a monthly plan charge refund within 14 days of activating your phone. Follow the steps in the Cancel My Republic Service to cancel your service line.

Accessories/Other Products

If you would like to return an accessory or Google Wifi that you purchased from Republic, you may do so by following the instructions in our Return and Replacement Policy We ask that you wait to send your accessory/product back until we've provided you with a return shipping label via email. Any Republic accessory you return must be unopened and undamaged in order to be eligible for a refund. Google Wifi must be returned undamaged in order to be eligible for a full refund. 

Note: It's important that you use the return shipping label we provide to you. If you don't, it could significantly delay your refund. 


Refund amounts 

Phones 

We'll refund the cost of the phone, taxes and monthly plan charges if applicable (initial shipping is non-refundable) you paid upon joining Republic, minus any charge backs accrued from items missing or damaged from your return. Missing or damaged items will result in a deduction from your refund amount according to the list below. 

If you purchased the phone using Affirm’s consumer financing offering, we will communicate with Affirm that you have returned the phone and refund the purchase price of the phone to Affirm.  You will still be responsible to Affirm for any shipping costs you financed and any accrued interest owed Affirm. Missing or damaged items will result in a deduction of the refunded amount according to the list below and you will remain responsible to Affirm for the remainder of your outstanding balance on the phone as well as any shipping costs you financed and any accrued interest owed Affirm. For any other questions related to your rights and obligations with Affirm, you should contact Affirm directly at help@affirm.com

No refund will be issued if we find that the phone:

  • is missing from the box.
  • has sustained water damage.
  • has damaged or broken parts (Micro SD card slot, SIM card slot, Micro USB charging port, headphone port for example).
  • has been rooted or otherwise compromised.
  • has a cracked screen or other damage that results in less than normal usable condition. 

In addition, we won’t reimburse you for and regret that we can’t return any non-Republic accessories you’ve included with the phone, (i.e. screen protectors, car chargers, cases, etc). 

Please allow 7 to 10 business days from the time we've received and reviewed your phone for your refund to process. 

Service 

Once you've cancelled your line of service, your first monthly plan charge amount will be credited to the credit or debit card on file for your account. 

Accessories/Other Products

Accessories: We'll refund the full amount you paid (plus taxes) for your Republic accessory (initial shipping is non-refundable). Any Republic accessory you return must be unopened and undamaged in order to be eligible for a refund. Once we've received your returned accessory, we'll inspect it thoroughly. If it's been determined that the accessory has been opened or damaged, you will not receive a refund. 

Google Wifi: We'll refund the full amount you paid (plus taxes, initial shipping is non-refundable) as long as the Google Wifi system has been undamaged. Once we receive the Google Wifi, we'll review it for any missing or damaged parts. Missing or damaged items will result in a deduction from your refund amount according to the list of charges below.
