Choose a ringtone, or choose None if you don’t want a sound to play.
Vibrate
If checked, your device will vibrate for every notification, except when in silent mode. If unchecked, your device will vibrate only if it's in vibrate mode and you have a sound notification turned on.
Notify for every message
If checked, you’ll receive a notification every time a message is delivered to your inbox. If unchecked, you won’t receive further notifications until you dismiss the current notification.
Reply to a message from a notification
With Android 4.1 and above, you can archive or reply to a message directly from a notification.

- In the Gmail app, tap the
Menu icon, then Settings.
- Choose General settings.
