Factory Reset for Motorola DEFY XT

For DEFY XT Users

This will erase all of your apps and reset your phone to a cleared state.

  • Any firmware update you have installed will still be on your phone.
  • If you’re concerned about losing your contacts, see Manage Contacts for Motorola DEFY XT for instructions on how to back up your contacts.

NOTE: You must be in a Sprint home area to perform a factory data reset. If you're roaming, the reset won't perform properly.

  1. Tap Home.
  2. Tap Menu.
  3. Select Settings.
